About the speakers
Michael Waugh
Michael manages Digital Field Product Development within the Development Projects and Innovation Unit at NRC. He works with NRC’s legal aid program on digital transformation and with the NRC shelter and settlements program on digital approaches to improve access to housing. Michael has a background in political science and has held multiple shelter roles within NRC both at head office and in Iraq.
Simen Rak Haugen
Simen is an advisor in NRC’s Corporate Relations section building partnerships with the private sector. He has a background in international development and human rights and has previously worked for UNHCR, the UN refugee agency.
This event is part of Your Data Your Democracy (information about Din data och din demokrati is currently only available in Swedish), a series of events focusing on issues related to the internet, society, and democracy. Through these events, the Swedish Internet Foundation works to open up the conversation between different actors to shine light on these issues though various perspectives.
