Join our free lunch as part of the Erasmus+ project "One Block for Educational Credentials" (OBEC) and learn more about the potentials of Blockchain Technology being used in different sectors and in promoting recognition of skills and validation of educational credentials across countries!

Speaker

The Lunch Talk will count with the participation of Oliver Oram, CEO of Chainvine (https://chainvine.com/), who will be talking more about Blockchain and its uses in the supply chain. He will also introduce the benefits of shared data platforms and how this can create better ways of communication/cooperation in educational data.

Oliver has background in financial technology and a MSc of International Management, with a focus on fiscal decentralisation, at the School of Oriental Studies. Interested in the potential of distributed ledger technology, Oliver has valuable experience of the Nordic, UK, US, Chinese and Russian markets and a keen interest in developing current and future decentralised technology. Oliver acts as a thought leader/Smart partner at Commonwealth Partnership for Technology Management & is an expert advisor at the OECD to the Rural Innovation Group.

About the event

During this seminar and networking event, the research findings of the "One Block for Educational Credentials" (OBEC) project will be presented, including the common obstacles faced by migrants, exchange students, and individuals with alternative educational backgrounds regarding educational credentials. We will discuss also the current status and knowledge shortages in relation to the potentials and skills to use Blockchain among education leaders and institutions.
The agenda of the event and lunch talk will include:

"One Block For Educational Credentials" (OBEC) is a KA2 Strategic Partnership co-funded by the Erasmus + of the European Union. It is an innovative project that aims to explore the potentials of Blockchain technology to promote competency development and recognition of skills and qualifications by creating an innovative system to issue and validate learning credentials on a trial basis.
