The cryptocurrency market has been flooded with new coins after bitcoin became known. Now, it seems to be the case that so called stablecoins are about to be established and there are also initiatives put forward from central banks. Is it possible to predict what happens next?

Everyone knows about bitcoin nowadays and the cryptocoin industry has been hyped for about a decade. Bitcoin is considered to be a safe haven security which ought to resist inflation due to finite amount of bitcoins to ever exist, but what other cryptocurrencies are established and what role do they play? Is there a defacto standard coming out from the vast amount of alternatives on the cryptocoin market? Will the industry become more trustworthy and stable with less fraud and hacker attacks? One can only make a reasonable guess.
